My pledge to you as mayor is to make economic development a reality in Matteson.

As chairwomen of the Economic Development Committee for the past four years, I’ve already shown some important results:

• Brookmere Subdivision
• Renovation of the Holiday Inn
• Construction of the new strip malls on Route 30 and Cicero that include Chipotle, Giordano’s and Five Guys
• Expansion of the multi-million dollar Applewood Senior Living complex

What’s next? As mayor, I’ll work on:

• Demolishing and redeveloping the Lincoln Mall property
• Building a grocery store
• Redeveloping the strip mall on Route 30

Together, we will create new economic hope for Matteson.
